Eluru: What can be called a miraculous turn of events, thanks to a pothole, a 48-year-old woman who was declared dead came back to life after an ambulance went over a pothole while she was being taken home.
As per reports, Gurajala Rama Tulasi, former sarpanch of Bhujabalapatnam in Kaikaluru mandal, fell seriously ill two days ago due to a kidney-related ailment. She was admitted to a private hospital in Eluru. On Thursday morning, doctors declared her dead and her family arranged a private ambulance with oxygen and ventilator support to take her body back to Bhujabalapatnam.

Realizing she was alive, the family immediately rushed her to another private hospital in Eluru. Doctors advised shifting her to Vijayawada for advanced treatment.
Rama Tulasi is currently undergoing treatment at the government hospital and her condition is being monitored. Hospital staff said the sudden movement may have stimulated her breathing, but doctors are yet to confirm what exactly revived her.
In a similar incident reported from Uttar Pradesh in March this year, a woman from Pilibhit district who had been declared brain dead by doctors at a private hospital in Bareilly recovered after the ambulance carrying her body home for last rites hit a pothole on the road.
