Election Campaign for Municipal Polls Ends in Anantapur District

Anantapur:Election campaign for municipal polls In Anantapur district has ended with rallies led by top leaders in the region on Friday.Film star Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is also Hindupur MLA, took out a procession in Hindupur of Satya Sai district in favour of TD municipal chairperson candidate and municipal councillors. Earlier, Balakrishna had meetings with several sections of the society in Hindupur town. He appealed to them to support the TDP candidates in the elections.
Hindupur, a special grade municipality, is a stronghold of YSRC. The MLA thus campaigned extensively in the town. Balakrishna’s wife Vasundhara also campaigned in Hindupur in favour of the TDP.
Anantapur city witnessed campaigning by Union minister of state for Housing Tokhan Sahu and BJP state unit president P.N.V. Madhav, and Anantapur MP Ambica Lakshmi Narayana in support of the BJP mayoral candidate Ajesh Babu.
Speaking on the occasion, Tokhan Sahu called on people to form a triple engine administration by electing the BJP mayor candidate. The centre will make all efforts to develop the city, he promised.
AICC member N. Raghuveera Reddy campaigned on behalf of the Congress municipal chairman candidate at Madakasira in Satya Sai district.
