Eight Persons Allege Rs. 50 Lakh Visa Fraud, Seek Inquiry

The complainants sought an inquiry into the alleged fraud and requested the police to help recover their money and passports.

Vijayawada:Eight persons have approached the Vijayawada police commissioner alleging that they were duped of Rs 50 lakh on the promise of arranging visas and overseas employment.

The complainants alleged that Naresh Kumar, who worked as a placement officer at the Chennai-based Amrutha Hotel Management Institute, along with others, collected Rs 50 lakh from them and transferred the money to the bank accounts of Chennai-based Arun Kumar, Uday Kumar and Senthil Kumar. They also alleged that their original passports were collected.

The complainants sought an inquiry into the alleged fraud and requested the police to help recover their money and passports.
