EG Authorities Identifying Accommodation for Godavari Pushkaralu 2027
They are identifying lands up to two kilometres of the Pushkaram ghats for parking vehicles.

KAKINADA: East Godavari district administration has begun identifying accommodation facilities for pilgrims expected to visit Rajamahendravaram and surrounding areas during the Godavari Pushkaralu 2027.
As part of the exercise, officials are mapping vacant sites, government and private buildings, educational institutions, kalyana mandapams, and choultries and community halls. They are compiling details on their capacity, infrastructure, and transport connectivity.
Officials are preparing a comprehensive database of AC and non-AC rooms, accommodation capacity and parking facilities available at lodges, guest houses, function halls, and other establishments within a five-kilometre radius of the bathing ghats

District collector P. Keerthy Chekuri has underlined at a review meeting that accommodation arrangements would be crucial for the smooth conduct of the Pushkaralu. She asked officials to undertake advance planning to ensure pilgrims do not face inconvenience.
Holding discussions with representatives of the tourism sector, travel operators, and cab associations in Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday, the collector called for comprehensive tourism planning in East and West Godavari districts to enhance the experience of pilgrims and visitors during the festival.
Keerthy Chekuri sought feedback on tourism packages being planned for the Pushkaralu and asked stakeholders to suggest practical and attractive packages that could draw more visitors to different parts of the district.
She assured tourism representatives that the district administration is prepared to implement viable proposals aimed at promoting tourism during the festival.
The administration is also exploring development of new tourist circuits linking Rajamahendravaram with Maredumilli, Papikondalu, Dindi, the Pancharama temples and other prominent religious and scenic destinations in the region.
