Efforts On to Establish National Academy of Construction in Amaravati

Vijayawada: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Shivanath has said a National Academy of Construction (NAC) would be set up in Amaravati, as desired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

He said the work of the Amaravati capital has started with a fund of Rs 60,000 crore. “Many civil engineers, civil workers, electricians and plumbers are needed for the construction of Amaravati. If we get sufficient trained and skilled hands from NAC, a wonderful capital will be built.”

The MP visited the NAC in Madhapur, Hyderabad on Thursday along with AP Building workers advisory committee chairman Gottumukkala Raghurama Raju and state NAC officials and reviewed the performance of the institution.

He noted that employment opportunities are limited for youths having less than a certificate or intermediate education. NAC will be established in Amaravati for the benefit of such people.

The MP said NAC is a pioneer in providing jobs to youths in the construction sector. “NAC was started in 1998 in the united Andhra Pradesh when Chandrababu Naidu was the CM. Now, the youths who have completed their training there are getting opportunities in the country and abroad.”

Telangana NAC training director Shantisree, CTTI Raji Reddy, AP NAC regional director P Muralidhar, NAC Telangana deputy director N Raju, and Telangana NAC training assistant director Md Anwar bin Mohammed participated in the programme.
