Education, Healthcare Key to VBSA Goals: Lanka Dinakar
Highlighting that education is the foundation of human resource development, Dinakar said dropout rates have declined due to initiatives such as Talliki Vandanam and the Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal scheme.

Nellore: Education and healthcare must be strengthened to help realise the goals of Viksit Bharat and Swarna Andhra (VBSA), 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee chairman Lanka Dinakar said during a review meeting at the Prakasam District Collectorate on Tuesday.
Along with the joint-collector, Dinakar reviewed the implementation of key programmes, including healthcare, education, Viksit Bharat Rozgar and Aajeevika Guarantee Mission (Rural), AMRUT 1.0 and 2.0, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Surya Ghar and PM-KUSUM.
The 20-point panel chairman directed officials to ensure effective implementation of all these schemes in line with the visions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Reviewing the Viksit Bharat Rozgar and Aajeevika Guarantee Mission (Rural), scheduled to be launched on July 1, Dinakar called for a comprehensive action plan focusing on durable rural assets, groundwater recharge, village digitalisation, PM Gati Shakti works, horticulture infrastructure, and sustainable livelihoods. He pointed out that the centre has expanded the employment guarantee framework from 100 to 125 workdays.
In the healthcare sector, the 20-point panel chairman stressed wider coverage of Ayushman Bharat–PMJAY and Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva. Officials informed the meeting that 25,735 pregnancies had been registered during 2025–26, including 6,205 high-risk cases that received specialised care. Institutional deliveries reached 100 per cent. More than 1.26 lakh beneficiaries received treatment worth ₹292 crore through 97 empanelled hospitals under Ayushman Bharat and NTR Vaidya Seva, officials pointed out.
