Driver Sevalo: AP CM To Distribute Rs 15000 Each To 2.90 Lakh Auto Drivers Today
The state government set up a special grievance handling system to solve the grievances of auto drivers in receiving the amount.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu would credit Rs 15,000 each to 2.90 lakh auto rickshaw and cab drivers under the Auto Drivers Sevalo scheme at 11am on Saturday.
The state government allocated Rs 436 crore Sevalo scheme. While the previous government distributed Rs 10,000 each to 2,61,516 auto drivers from its allocation of Rs 261. 51 crore, the present government went a step further and raised the allocation to Rs 436 crore. This would benefit 2.90 lakh drivers.
The beneficiaries include 2,25,621 auto drivers, 38,576 passenger vehicle drivers, 38,576 motor cab drivers and 6,400 maxi cab drivers. Visakhapatnam tops with highest number of beneficiaries --22,955 auto drivers.
In addition, the state government also reduced the green tax of Rs 20,000 imposed by the previous government to Rs 3000. The state government set up a special grievance handling system to solve the grievances of auto drivers in receiving the amount. Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, minister Nara Lokesh and BJP state president PVN Madhav would be present.
Naidu would inaugurate the Sevalo Auto Drivers programme at the Makkeneni Basava Punnayya Stadium in Ajit Singh Nagar police station limits, where eligible auto drivers would be handed over the financial assistance.
Traffic regulations: In view of the CM’s visit, police commissioner Rajasekhara Babu has asked the traffic police to regulate traffic in the city on Saturday and chalk out alternate routes to prevent vehicle congestion on the roads.
