Do Not Sell Lands Hastily; Values Will Rise With Sustained Development: Pemmasani
Pemmasani praised the people of Gundalapadu for their unwavering political commitment, stating that they stood by “one flag and one agenda” even during challenging elections such as in 2019: Reports

VIJAYAWADA: Drawing a comparison with Hyderabad, Union minister of state for rural development and communications Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar recalled that land prices before the establishment of Hitech City were around 2 lakh per acre and have now risen to 20–30 crore.
He advised farmers and landowners in the Amaravati Capital Region not to sell their lands hastily, stating that property values would increase with sustained development.
The minister on Sunday inaugurated several key rural infrastructure projects at Gundalapadu village in Phirangipuram mandal, along with Tadikonda mla Tenali Sravan Kumar. The projects included a grama sachivalayam, a health centre, a rythu bharosa kendram and a newly laid blacktop road connecting Munagapadu village.
Speaking on the occasion, Pemmasani praised the people of Gundalapadu for their unwavering political commitment, stating that they stood by “one flag and one agenda” even during challenging elections such as in 2019. He commended party workers for remaining loyal and ensuring support for the Telugu Desam Party despite shifting political equations elsewhere.
Highlighting welfare initiatives, he said Andhra Pradesh is the only state providing pensions of over 2,000 per month under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
He also pointed out that no other state offers 15,000 per student under the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme. From gas cylinder support to free bus travel, he said the coalition government alone is delivering welfare in line with public needs.
Pemmasani credited Naidu with promoting companies in North Andhra, industries in Rayalaseema and developing Amaravati in Coastal Andhra. He also lauded Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan for prioritising Andhra Pradesh’s development despite personal setbacks.
On the pending Ponugupadu road, he said delays were due to late DPR preparation and technical issues linked to Central and State schemes, but assured that the road would be completed with patience and cooperation from the public.
MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar said Gundalapadu has emerged as a model village in the constituency and has witnessed rapid development despite its small size.
Several leaders from the Jana Sena Party, BJP and Telugu Desam, along with local body representatives and villagers, attended the programme.
