DMHO Warns Action Against Unregistered Clinics

The district health authorities advised all healthcare providers to comply with the statutory registration requirements to avoid legal action

Visakhapatnam: District medical and health officer (DMHO) Dr P. Jagadeeswara Rao has directed all hospitals, clinics, diagnostic laboratories, scanning centres and fertility centres in Visakhapatnam district to register under the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010.

The DMHO said all eligible healthcare establishments must complete their registration online through the designated government portals. He warned that hospitals, clinics, laboratories, scanning centres and fertility centres operating without valid registration or renewal would face legal action under the provisions of the Act.

He urged healthcare institutions that have not obtained registration or renewed their licences to complete the process immediately. Hospitals, clinics, laboratories and fertility centres can register through the Clinical Establishments portal, while scanning centres must register through the PCPNDT portal.

The district health authorities advised all healthcare providers to comply with the statutory registration requirements to avoid legal action.

According to official data, Visakhapatnam district has 425 scanning centres, 250 hospitals and nursing homes, 320 physiotherapy, dental and general clinics, and 300 laboratories.
