DLSA Promises Early Redressal Of Transgender Persons’ Grievances
The authority would take up their grievances with the district judiciary and concerned officials: Reports

NELLORE: Senior Civil Judge Y.J. Padmasri has assured transgender persons that their grievances would be brought to the notice of District Principal Judge A. Narasimha Murthy for early resolution.
At a meeting organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Wednesday, transgender persons raised issues concerning Aadhaar and ration cards, irregular ration supplies and the need for employment opportunities suited to their educational qualifications
Officials from the Civil Supplies Department and the rural tahsildar’s office were asked to coordinate with their urban counterparts to resolve the issues and ensure eligible beneficiaries received Aadhaar and ration cards.
Padmasri said transgender persons could submit applications through DLSA para-legal volunteers. The authority would take up their grievances with the district judiciary and concerned officials.
She reiterated the DLSA’s commitment to providing free legal services to disadvantaged sections of society.
