In a press release, the in-charge collector said the cancellation was necessitated due to the Bhavani Deeksha Viramanam (concluding) programmes, which began on December 11 and will continue till December 15: Reports

VIJAYAWADA: The district-level Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme scheduled for December 15 at the collectorate in NTR district has been cancelled, district in-charge collector S. Ilakkiya announced on Saturday.

In a press release, the in-charge collector said the cancellation was necessitated due to the Bhavani Deeksha Viramanam (concluding) programmes, which began on December 11 and will continue till December 15. As district officials are engaged in arrangements and duties related to these religious events, it has been decided to cancel the PGRS meeting on that day, she explained.

Ilakkiya clarified that the district-level PGRS will resume as usual from the following Monday, ensuring uninterrupted grievance redressal services thereafter. She urged citizens and petitioners not to be inconvenienced by the temporary cancellation.

In the interim, she advised applicants to register their grievances online through the State government’s official portal, meekosam.ap.gov.in. Petitioners can also track the status of their applications and seek information by calling the toll-free helpline number 1100, she said.
