Discharge your duties responsibly, APSPF personnel told
Vijayawada: AP Special Protection Force (APSPF) director general Dr CM Trivikram Varma appealed to APSPF personnel to responsibly discharge their duties and strengthen vigilance and security at the Secretariat, AP High Court, TTD, Srisailam Dam, Polavaram Irrigation Project, AP Genco, and other projects to prevent any untoward incidents in the state.
At a meeting, the APSPF director general interacted with 65 APSPF personnel who were promoted to APSPF HC, ASI, SI, inspector, and assistant commandants in the vacant posts filled between January 18 and August 5, and he appreciated them.
Speaking on the occasion, Trivikram Varma informed the APSPF personnel that various proposals would be sent to the state government for the development of the APSPF wing in the state. “Plans to construct the APSPF headquarters building and training centre on a five-acre land allotted in Gannavaram would be submitted to the government,” Trivikram Varma informed.
The government has already sanctioned three to five acres of land for the construction of zonal and unit headquarters office buildings and training centres in the Krishna, Tirupati, and Kurnool districts.
“Proposals are underway in the revenue offices to identify and allot land to APSPF in Nellore, Kadapa, East Godavari, Kakinada, Anantapur, and Anakapalle districts in the state,” Trivikram Varma added.
