Devotion, Seva Mark 15th Aradhana Mahotsavam of Sri Sathya Sai Baba

The traditional Maha Narayana Seva was offered in the form of Annadanam and Vastradanam at the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View stadium

ANANTAPUR: Prasanthi Nilayam witnessed a huge turnout of devotees for the 15th Aradhana Mahotsavam of Sri Satya Saibaba that was performed in a grand manner on Friday.

The traditional Maha Narayana Seva was offered in the form of Annadanam and Vastradanam at the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View stadium.

Following the offering of ceremonial prayers offered for Baba, the seva commenced in an atmosphere charged with reverence and devotion. Managing trustee RJ Rathnakar and other trustees of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, along with elders, led the rituals.

Puttaparthi MLA Palle Sindhura Reddy and former MLA Palle Raghunatha Reddy were among those present.

S.S. Naganand, trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, and Nimish Pandya, all India President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation highlighted the profound spiritual legacy of Baba, with stress on sacredness of Aradhana.

The Narayana Seva saw an overwhelming and heartening response, with more than 45,000 devotees gathering to receive Baba’s blessings in the form of food and clothing. Vastradanam, comprising sarees and dhotis, along with prasadam in the form of pulihora and laddoos, was another highlight of the day.

Earlier in the morning, a host of Carnatic musical talents from the south assembled at the sanctum sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam, presenting the traditional Sai Pancharatnas on the auspicious Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam in Sai Kulwant hall.

‘Sai Pancharatna’ has become an established tradition on the sacred morning of April 24 every year. The Sai Pancharatna Kritis, fashioned in the classical Thyagaraja Pancharatna tradition --as the name indicates -- is a compilation of five musical gems set to five different ragas, each highlighting a unique devotional tenor.

The sanctum sanctorum and the entire Sai Kulwant Hall were aesthetically decorated for the occasion, creating an ambience steeped in devotion and gratitude. Bhajans continued thereafter and Mangala Arathi marked the conclusion of the morning session.
