Devotees Struggle Amid Continuous Rain In Tirumala

Pilgrims waiting in queue lines for Srivari darshan are being periodically moved into sheds and compartments to shield them from the rain: Reports

TIRUPATI: Tirumala has been experiencing continuous rainfall since Monday, caused by the upper air cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the north Tamil Nadu coast. The persistent rain is causing hardship for devotees visiting the hill shrine.

Pilgrims waiting in queue lines for Srivari darshan are being periodically moved into sheds and compartments to shield them from the rain. TTD management has been distributing drinking water, milk, and Anna Prasadam to ensure that the waiting devotees do not face inconvenience.

However, those exiting after having darshan are being drenched as they walk through the rain-soaked premises. Dense fog has enveloped the hill, causing a sharp drop in temperatures. The cold weather, combined with the wet conditions, is particularly affecting elderly devotees and children.

TTD officials have urged motorists on the twin ghat roads to exercise extreme caution due to the risk of landslides. Engineering and vigilance teams have been deployed along the route to address any issues and ensure smooth vehicular movement.
