Delay in Salaries Draws Ire of Employees’ Union in AP

Chandrasekhar Reddy also pointed out that a Pay Revision Commission chairman was yet to be appointed and that only one DA had been cleared while five remained pending

Vijayawada: YSRC Employees and Pensioners Wing state president Nalamaaru Chandrasekhar Reddy on Monday criticised the TD-led coalition government for delaying payment of salaries, alleging that nearly one lakh employees had not received their November pay as of December 10.

He said the government had promised to deposit salaries on the 1st of every month, but had reportedly managed to do so only once since assuming office. He further stated that despite assurances of extending Interim Relief (IR) immediately after coming to power, the government had not implemented it even after 18 months.

Chandrasekhar Reddy also pointed out that a Pay Revision Commission chairman was yet to be appointed and that only one DA had been cleared while five remained pending. He alleged that pending dues and arrears now amounted to ₹32,000 crore.

He urged the government to uphold commitments made to employees and ensure timely disbursal of salaries and benefits.
