Deadline Extended For KGBV Admissions in Andhra Pradesh Till April 20
Offering relief to aspiring students and their parents

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the deadline for admissions into Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) across the state for the 2026–27 academic year, offering relief to aspiring students and their parents.
According to Samagra Shiksha state project director B. Srinivasa Rao, online applications from girls seeking admission to Classes 6 and 11, as well as for filling vacant seats in Classes 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12, will now be accepted until April 20. The previous deadline, which ended on April 10, has been extended following repeated requests from students and parents.
The state has 352 KGBVs, with a total of 32,079 seats available across all classes. Authorities have urged eligible girls — including orphans, school dropouts, out-of-school children, and those from economically weaker sections such as SC, ST, BC, minority and BPL communities to utilise this extended opportunity. Only online applications will be considered for admission.
Applicants can submit their forms through the official website. Selected candidates will be informed via SMS and can also check the results on the notice boards of the respective schools. For assistance, helpline numbers 7993329115 and 7075039990 are available during working hours (10 am to 5 pm).
