Dalit Sangham Eikya Vedika on Saturday complained to home minister Vangalapudi Anitha over persecution of Dalits during the tenure of former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Visakhapatnam:Dalit Sangham Eikya Vedika on Saturday complained to home minister Vangalapudi Anitha over persecution of Dalits during the tenure of former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Calling on Anitha at her camp office in Payakaraopeta constituency, the vedika representatives maintained that illegal cases had been filed against them. They submitted a petition urging the minister to provide justice in this regard.
Citing specific cases, they cited the Venkataya Palem incident, the sudden death of a Dalit in Visakhapatnam jail, Veedhi Subramanyam's plight, and the knife attack case.
Vedika leaders, including Dr. Boosi Venkata Rao, urged the home minister to expedite investigations into these cases and provide immediate relief to the victims.
Anitha reacted positively, saying she will obtain reports from SPs concerned and take appropriate action to ensure justice.
