Cylinder Delivery Boy Kills Woman, Dies by Suicide in Tirupati

According to Circle Inspector (CI) Srinivasulu, the accused, identified as Somasekhar, was working as a cylinder delivery boy and was living alone in Tirupati after separating from his wife. The victim, Lakshmi, a native of Khammam, had been residing in Jeevakona along with her husband and son. She was working at a samosa stall near the RTC bus stand.

Police said Somasekhar and Lakshmi became acquainted during cylinder deliveries to the stall, which later developed into an alleged extramarital relationship. When Lakshmi refused to continue the relationship, Somasekhar reportedly became enraged.

He allegedly called her to his residence under the pretext of holding talks and later slit her throat with a knife. After the murder, he died by suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan.

Police registered a case and shifted both bodies to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
