CyberSecure Andhra 2025 Meet Addresses Digital Threats

Experts stress AI, PQC, and cyber resilience for AP’s future

Visakhapatnam: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Andhra Pradesh, organised the CyberSecure Andhra 2025 Conference in Visakhapatnam on Thursday with the theme "Securing Andhra's Digital Backbone: Engineering Trust in an Age of Cyber Risk."

Speaking on the occasion, Eficens Systems founder chairman Ramu Venigandla, who is also an MLA representing Gudivada constituency, underlined that Andhra Pradesh is charting the path towards next-generation technologies, aligning innovation in AI and quantum computing with robust cybersecurity.

“We are not only safeguarding critical infrastructure, but also enabling the state's future growth," he declared, emphasising that Andhra Pradesh currently leads India in providing digital services to its people owing to the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT minister Nara Lokesh.

MLA Ramu pointed out that the state government is implementing WhatsApp Governance, under which 700 services are being provided to citizens through the messaging platform.

Infosys Cybersecurity Services global head Brijesh Balakrishnan spoke on the topic – The Adversarial Arms Race: AI-Powered Attacks vs AI-Enhanced Defences." He pointed out how cybercriminals are increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence for sophisticated attacks, while defenders are using a similar technology for real-time threat detection.

IBM Quantum Safe & Hybrid Cloud Garage leader Ajay Kulkarni warned about Harvest now, Decrypt later threat, wherein hackers are stealing encrypted data today with the intention of decrypting it once quantum computers become sufficiently capable. He emphasised on the immediate need for Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) approaches and crypto-agility measures.

Quantum AI Global founder and CEO Sanjay Chittore unveiled Q-Forte, a patented full-stack PQC framework designed to secure identity, cloud networks, transactions, IoT and blockchain systems. He stressed on the urgency of implementing quantum-resilient governance strategies to align with Andhra Pradesh's digital sovereignty vision.

Visakhapatnam collector Harendhira Prasad and Visakhapatnam police commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi participated in the discussions on preventing scams involving OTP and e-KYC frauds, lessons from global case studies, and building a resilient digital framework for Andhra Pradesh.
