VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Technology Services (APTS) chairman Mannava Mohana Krishna on Friday presented internship certificates to candidates selected through the recently conducted State-Level Cyber Security Hackathon, underscoring the state government's focus on building a strong cyber security workforce.

Addressing those present at the certificate distribution ceremony, Mohana Krishna announced that each intern would receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 along with specialised training in cyber security practices and digital security management.

APTS managing director Mallavarapu Surya Teja participated in the ceremony.

The APTS chairman explained that the hackathon had been organised to identify and nurture cyber security talent across Andhra Pradesh. Thousands of aspirants had participated in the competition. The APTS awarded certificates to candidates who demonstrated outstanding technical skills.

Mohana Krishna maintained that the state government is implementing several innovative initiatives to strengthen digital governance in AP, while ensuring robust cyber security measures.

Highlighting APTS’ role in the state’s digital ecosystem, he pointed out that the organisation provides advanced technology services to government departments, including infrastructure management, application development, cyber security monitoring and auditing, digital signature certificates, Aadhaar validation, and e-procurement solutions.

The APTS chairman revealed that their monitoring system’s capacity has been enhanced from 12,500 Events Per Second (EPS) to 32,500 EPS, significantly boosting the state’s cyber defence capabilities.

Mohana Krishna further stated that APTS plans to offer its cyber security services to banks, critical sectors, and private enterprises, creating employment opportunities for youth while generating additional revenue.

The APTS chairman reiterated that under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT minister Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh is striving to emerge as a model state in technology-driven governance, digital security, and cyber skills’ development.
