Visakhapatnam: Leader of Opposition in the AP Legislative Council Botsa Satyaanarayana of YSRC said the party had appealed to the collector and incharge commissioner of GVMC to conduct the proceedings of no-trust motion to be tabled in the general council of the GVMC in most transparent manner.
“We have already served a whip to the corporators won on YSRC ticket and action will be taken against those who defy the whip as per the rules,” Satyanarayana said.
He said the party has enough strength in the council though some of them have left the party to join another. He said Hari Venkarta Kumari served successfully as mayor for four years without facing any allegations but the NDA alliance was conspiring to dislodge her, a BC woman, for which they proposed a no-confidence motion against her.
Former minister Gudivada Amarnath and former MLAs Karanam Dharmasri, Tynala Vijay Kumar and others were present.
