Complete Solution to Amaravati Land Issues Soon: Pemmasani
Pemmasani Chandrasekhar reviews disputes, infra gaps in capital region

Vijayawada: Union minister of state for rural development and communications, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, has said efforts are on to resolve long-pending land-related issues of the Amaravati capital region farmers.
A three-member committee meeting was held at the CRDA office in Rayapudi, with urban development minister P Narayana, Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar and senior CRDA officials participating in the review.
Addressing the media, Pemmasani said newly appointed CRDA commissioner Vijaya Ramaraju had recently assumed charge and the meeting was aimed at familiarising him with issues concerning the capital region.
The minister said discussions were held on pending village settlement disputes, floor space index (FSI) matters and infrastructure deficiencies in villages. He stressed the need for officials to personally visit villages and assess problems at the ground level to gain a better understanding of local concerns.
Narayana said the committee discussed measures for providing infrastructure facilities in villages, including the development of cremation grounds and other civic amenities. “The commissioner had been instructed to conduct meetings in all 29 villages under the capital region to understand local issues comprehensively,” he said.
“All problems would be resolved strictly in accordance with the government’s policy framework. No individual would receive special favours or preferential treatment,” he stressed.
MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar said the meeting by three-member committee meeting was held after a gap of nearly two months due to the parliament and assembly sessions. He said discussions were also held on enhancing compensation under the NSP policy for families losing houses because of road construction works.
Sravan said the committee had emphasised resolving village settlement issues without causing inconvenience to any resident. Officials have been asked to expedite pending infrastructure works and construction of cremation grounds that were already sanctioned in villages.
