Collectors Inform AP CM About Success Stories of ASR, Manyam

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu praised collector Prabhakar Reddy for introducing an innovative programme

Visakhapatnam: On Day 2 of the Collectors’ Conference on Thursday, A.S. Dinesh Kumar of Alluri Sitarama Raju and N. Prabhakar Reddy of Parvathipuram Manyam narrated their districts’ success stories in ensuring good governance and implementing various developmental and welfare schemes.

ASR collector Dinesh Kumar spoke about NIRMAN (Nurturing Inspiration and Remediation for Mastering the NextGen) and measures taken for developing the careers of youth under “Margadarshi.” He pointed out that under the Nirman initiative, the Super 50 programme continues to be implemented in all schools from 2023. Efforts are being made to help students achieve good marks by conducting app-based tests.

Parvathipuram Manyam collector Prabhakar Reddy underlined that they have taken up an innovative program called “Mustabu” in the district. This programme has greatly contributed to improving personal hygiene among students as well as their family members.

Prabhakar Reddy explained that under the Mustabu programme, all schools allow students inside only after they have washed their hands thoroughly and combed their hair properly. This has yielded good results, with students getting habituated to improving their personal hygiene. This, in turn, has also improved hygiene in their families.

Responding, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu praised collector Prabhakar Reddy for introducing an innovative programme. He announced that this method will be implemented in all government and private schools across the state. This will ensure that approximately 79 lakh students up to the 10th grade improve their personal hygiene.

The CM underlined that this would have an impact on approximately two crore family members of these students.
