Guntur Collector Calls for Focus on Citizen Satisfaction
Guntur district collector A. Tameem Ansariya has directed officials to take systematic and sustained measures to improve public perception of government services across the district

VIJAYAWADA: Calling for a sharper focus on citizen satisfaction, Guntur district collector A. Tameem Ansariya has directed officials to take systematic and sustained measures to improve public perception of government services across the district.
Chairing a review meeting here on Friday, the collector assessed citizen feedback received through the IVRS system on services provided by the RTC, transport, registration and fire services departments.
Emphasising commuter comfort, Ansariya instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted availability of drinking water, cleanliness, seating and toilet facilities at RTC bus stations. She directed that RO drinking water be provided at all bus stands and inspections conducted to prevent overcharging beyond the MRP at shops operating on the premises. Drivers and conductors were asked to maintain courteous behaviour, with regular training sessions on safety norms.
The transport department was instructed to simplify licence issuance and vehicle registration processes, while ensuring strict enforcement of safety regulations for private travel buses and vehicles operated by educational institutions. Violations of safety norms, the collector warned, would invite stringent action.
Stressing transparency in the registration department, Ansariya called for greater public awareness of newly introduced digital services through posters displayed across government offices. She also cautioned officials to remain vigilant against the issue of fake certificates.
Fire services officials were directed to clear No Objection Certificate (NOC) applications strictly within the stipulated Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines.
The meeting was attended by Guntur district revenue officer N.S.K. Khajavali, deputy transport commissioner Seetharamireddy, district registrar Shailaja, district fire officer Srinivasa Reddy, RTC regional manager D. Sambrajyam, RTO Srihari, and other officials.
