ANANTAPUR: A worker at a biryani centre under Two Town police station died when his co-workers attacked him in the Court Road area of Anantapur on Sunday.
Sources said Noor Ahmed, Ganesh and Sridhar had been working together at the biryani centre. The three reportedly quarrelled in an inebriated state in which Noor Ahmed suffered serious injury on his head.
The other staff shifted Noor Ahmed to Government General Hospital where a doctor declared that he had already died.
Two town police have registered a case based on the complaint by hotel owners.
The incident has raised many an eyebrow as the death occurred close to the Two Town police station.
