CM’s HAM Initiative To Benefit Saluru With Rs 15 Crore

VISAKHAPATNAM: Minister for tribal welfare Gummadi Sandhya Rani on Monday reviewed infrastructure development and public issues in Saluru municipality in Parvathipuram Manyam district.
She announced that ₹15 crore under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) had been allocated for Saluru’s development as part of the state-wide ₹5,500-crore initiative to be launched by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam.
The minister directed officials to prioritise street lighting, drinking water supply, sanitation and other basic amenities. She also instructed authorities to expedite the ₹44-lakh central lighting project from the RTC Complex to the MRO office.
Sandhya Rani clarified that house tax benefits should be extended to eligible poor families who had constructed houses before 2009.
She directed the revenue, police, municipal and marketing departments to work together to ensure effective utilisation of the local farmers’ market. She said pilot drinking water schemes had already been implemented in all municipal wards and assured that additional schemes would be sanctioned wherever required.
The minister stressed administrative transparency and warned officials against inconveniencing the public. She said illegal collection of money from citizens would not be tolerated.
