CM Unveils ₹ 9,322-Crore Industrial Roadmap For Kuppam
He said the state government has signed MoUs with several companies to expand industrial activity in the region

TIRUPATI: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday unveiled an industrial roadmap for Kuppam with investment commitments worth `9,322 crore, saying the projects would strengthen sectors like manufacturing, clean energy and infrastructure.
At a programme held at Pogurupalle village in Gudupalle mandal, the CM inaugurated the completed projects, laid foundation for new industrial units and launched development initiatives.
He said the state government has signed MoUs with several companies to expand industrial activity in the region.
Among the major projects is South Korea-based Hwaseung Group's `899-crore footwear manufacturing unit, which will produce sports shoes for Adidas and would generate employment for over 20,000 people. Other major investments include Atha Group's `2,081-crore battery anode material manufacturing facility and Pioneer Clean Amps' `150-crore two-seater trainer aircraft manufacturing project.
Foundation stones were laid for projects of Nutri Feeds and Farms, MAF Clothing, Farm Amino Agritech, Rajagruham Estates, Infra Craft, In Phase World Park, Index Industries, Tetris Innovation and NanoOpti Pvt Ltd.
Naidu also launched an initiative for rooftop solar installations, AP Transco substations, the Heritage Granite Stone Cluster and the ISKCON Vedic cultural and spiritual centre. He urged industrialists to complete their projects within the stipulated timelines.
Addressing the gathering, the CM said Kuppam was emerging as an industrial destination with growing investor confidence in the state's policies. He said industrial growth should translate into employment generation and improved livelihoods, while skill development would ensure the availability of a trained workforce.
Naidu encouraged students and youths to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and explore opportunities beyond conventional employment. He said every family should aspire to produce an entrepreneur.
He said Kuppam constituency's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) had increased by 38 per cent and its per capita income had reached `2.11 lakh. The next objective, he said, was to make Kuppam the constituency with the highest per capita income in AP.
The government, Naidu said, is committed to developing Kuppam into one of the country's model constituencies through net-zero development, rooftop solar projects, home-stays and green initiatives. Free rooftop solar systems were being provided to SC and ST families, while efforts were under way to maintain 70 per cent green cover in the constituency.
He said the Heritage Granite Cluster would promote the region's blue granite in domestic and international markets.
Naidu said irrigation had improved after Handri-Neeva waters reached Kuppam, benefiting agriculture, drip irrigation and dairy farming. Water from the Gandikota reservoir would also be brought to meet domestic and industrial requirements.
“Some 1.49 lakh DWCRA women had emerged as entrepreneurs and urged youth to upgrade their skills and take advantage of new employment and business opportunities,” he noted.
