CM Tells Party To Spread Message Of ‘Good’ Governance
Naidu addresses TD parliamentarians, legislators and party workers in a tele conference

VIJAYAWADA:
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who heads the Telugu Desam, has reiterated his resolve to provide ‘good governance’, and said this message should be communicated to the people at large by the party machinery.
Naidu held a teleconference with ministers, TD MPs, MLAs and party workers on Friday. He directed the party machinery to publicise schemes like the Annadatha Sukhibhav being launched on Saturday and the ongoing Suparipalano Tholi Adugu.
The chief minister briefed his select audience about the details of the Singapore visit. He said the “conspiracies” being hatched by the YSRC against the alliance government must be thwarted.
Naidu said, “We are fulfilling two promises in the Super Six this month itself. On Saturday, we are releasing the Annadatha Sukhibhava-PM Kisan funds. We will implement a free bus travel facility for women from August 15.”
“As part of the service to the poor, we are giving a pension of`4,000 to the elderly and widows. We are giving ` 6,000 to the disabled and ` 15,000 to those who are completely confined to bed. We are giving new spouse pensions to 1.09 lakh people. We have revived the canteens that were abolished by the previous government.”
“Also, as promised, we are giving 3 gas cylinders per year. It is the party machinery that should take the good works done by the government to the people,” he said.
Naidu said, “We are implementing the Annadatha Sukhibhava-PM Kisan scheme from Saturday. We are providing `20,000 per year to every eligible farmer. We will start the Annadatha Sukhibhava scheme and deposit `7,000 to the farmers as the first installment. The state share of this will be ` 5,000 and Delhi’s share will be ` 2,000. As many as 46,85,838 farmers will benefit from this.”
He noted that the state government has released ` 2,342.92 crore for the Annadatha Sukhibhava scheme. The Centre is giving ` 831.51 crore.”
Addressing the MLAs, Naidu said, “We are already conducting reviews with the MLAs to ensure that the names of all eligible farmers are in the list of beneficiaries. If not, you can call the toll-free number 155251 and complain. The entire party machinery should participate in the Annadatha Sukhibhava programme.”
Naidu claimed that 90 per cent of the projects in Rayalaseema were undertaken during the TD terms and “all the projects are overflowing with water.” The Srisailam project, he said, was filled twice in July itself.
“Water was released through Handriniva Phase-1 and we are completing Handriniva’s next phase works with an allotment of `3,890 crore in a year. All these would benefit the farmers.”
Regarding his Singapore tour, the CM said, “It became clear during the Singapore visit that the reputation of the good work we have done will stay with us. For five years, the YSRC government harassed all sections. They threatened investors and damaged the state's brand. We are working to rebuild it.”
“We urged the Singapore government to invest in AP and help the state develop. The previous government harassed Singapore. We are restoring the damaged relations,” Naidu said.
