CM Tells Alliance Leaders to Ensure Success of ‘Double Engine’ Rallies
Naidu urged leaders to work in coordination to make all three regional rallies a success. The meetings are scheduled for Tirupati on June 9, Amaravati June 12 and Visakhapatnam June 15.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday directed leaders of the ruling alliance to ensure the grand success of a series of public meetings planned across AP to highlight achievements of the ‘double engine’ government at the Centre and in the state.
Addressing a Zoom conference with senior leaders of the Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP from Amaravati, Naidu noted that the alliance government has completed two years in office, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 12 years at the helm of the central government. He stressed the need to take the welfare and development initiatives of both governments to the people in more effective ways.
The CM discussed preparations for the public meeting in Tirupati on June 9 and asked alliance leaders to mobilise party cadres and supporters in large numbers. He also asked them to explain, with concrete examples, the welfare and development programmes implemented by NDA’s central and state governments.
Naidu urged leaders to work in coordination to make all three regional rallies a success. The meetings are scheduled for Tirupati on June 9, Amaravati June 12 and Visakhapatnam June 15.
The decision to organise the public meetings was taken at a meeting of alliance leaders held at the CM’s residence in Undavalli on June 4. The leaders discussed ways to effectively publicise the achievements of the government and counter criticism from YSR Congress leaders.
Among those who participated in the Zoom meeting were state TD president Palla Srinivasa Rao, minister Nimmala Rama Naidu, Jana Sena leader and minister Nadendla Manohar, MLC P Hariprasad, and BJP’s PVN Madhav and Satyakumar Yadav.
Naidu on Sunday held a review meeting with party leaders from Kuppam and stressed the need for strengthening the organisation ahead of the local body elections.
Naidu said he would personally monitor all developmental and party-related programmes in Kuppam, his long-time assembly constituency. He promised party leaders that the constituency would continue to receive close attention and regular oversight.
The CM also stated that Kuppam TD convener Kancharla Srikanth would be utilised for responsibilities at the state level, indicating a larger role for him in the organisation.
Naidu directed leaders who have been appointed to nominated posts to focus on the responsibilities of their respective departments and ensure effective performance. He emphasised accountability and coordination in implementing government and party initiatives.
With local body elections expected within the next three months, the TD chief urged party leaders and cadre to begin preparations immediately and work towards strengthening the party at the grassroots level. He called for better coordination among leaders and workers to ensure organisational readiness for the electoral challenge.
Reaffirming his commitment to the constituency, Naidu announced that he would visit Kuppam once every two months to review progress and interact with local leaders and party workers. The regular visits, he said, would help monitor development activities and address issues promptly.
