CM Reviews Kuppam Party Affairs, Calls for Strong Grassroots Outreach

Addressing party workers, the chief minister said programmes first implemented in Kuppam were now being replicated across the state

Nellore: Chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday reviewed party affairs in the Kuppam assembly constituency and released a song marking three years of Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam padayatra.

MLC Srikanth thanked the chief minister for filling 150 tanks in the constituency as also improving water availability and urged party cadres to aim for a 100 per cent strike rate in the local body elections.

Chittoor TDP parliamentary wing president Shanmukh Reddy expressed gratitude for being entrusted with organisational responsibility, saying development in Kuppam had reached a stage where poverty has no place. “My grassroots work is recognised without any resort to publicity,” he said.

Addressing party workers, the chief minister said programmes first implemented in Kuppam were now being replicated across the state. He cited Shanmukh Reddy’s rise from a grassroots worker as an example of “commitment being rewarded.”

Referring to the 2024 elections, he said the TDP-led alliance secured a historic mandate, and highlighted the importance of staying connected with people.

The CM said Krishna waters were brought to Kuppam through the Handri-Neeva project in a single season, preventing any hardship. TDP, he said, had laid the foundation for development through Vision-2020 and “Rayalaseema has emerged as a national leader in horticulture, with further focus planned on the sector.”

Stressing accountability, Naidu said he reviewed MLAs’ performance every week and used technology to bridge communication gaps within the party. He called on leaders to strengthen grassroots outreach by visiting households during both the announcement and implementation of welfare schemes, while working in coordination with alliance partners.
