CM Reviews Konaseema Blowout, Promises Full Support to Affected Families
CM stresses public safety, clear communication and compensation for affected farmers

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Tuesday conducted a detailed review of the blowout incident at Irusumanda village in Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district. He asked officials to prioritise public safety, transparent communication and swift relief to the affected.
Taking note of reports that several coconut trees were destroyed in the fire, Naidu asked officials to assess the damage and extend suitable compensation to the affected farmers.
Senior officials briefed the CM on the prevailing ground situation, the extent of the gas leakage, and the measures being undertaken to contain the blaze. Home Minister V. Anitha, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and others explained the coordinated efforts of multiple departments to prevent the fire’s spread and ensure the safety of local residents.
Expressing concern that such incidents often triggered fear and panic, the CM stressed the need for constant and clear communication with the public. District administration to keep residents informed about the ground situation at regular intervals and stand firmly by the affected until normalcy is restored, he said.
Naidu said people who were forced to vacate their homes and villages due to the incident should not face any hardship. The district machinery must ensure proper shelter, food and essential facilities for the evacuees until the problem is resolved.

The objective, he said, should be to ensure that such incidents do not recur in future and that industrial operations adhere to the highest safety standards.
