Naidu To Meet Amit Shah, Patil In Delhi Today

Chandrababu Naidu is expected to meet a string of Union Ministers in New Delhi on April 22.

Vijayawada:A hectic schedule unfolds for Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in New Delhi after his arrival there in the early morning on Tuesday.

Naidu would meet several central leaders including home minister Amit Shah, Jal Sakthi minister CR Patil to discuss the projects and other matters pertaining to AP.

As per the tentative schedule, the CM would meet Patil at 10.30am, minister of state for law and justice Arjun Ram at 11.30am and Amit Shah at 2pm.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Amaravati on May 2 around 3.45pm to formally restart the Amaravati development works.

The CM has been urging the Centre for release of funds since June 2024.

The Centre has already sanctioned funds for development of Amaravati, construction of Polavaram irrigation project and development of several infrastructure projects in a big way, resulting in the start of these works in an expeditious manner.

Naidu, after winding up his vacation along with his family overseas, moved fast and is visiting Delhi for talks with central ministers on getting more funds and to invite them to the resumption of Amaravati developmental works.

The state government is making elaborate arrangements for PM Modi’s visit to the state. Finance minister Payyavula Keshav asked departments to ensure food, drinking water and other amenities to the people attending the programme.

Municipal administration minister Narayana directed the police to ensure that there are no traffic jams and no inconvenience to the common people who attend the programme.

Civil supplies minister Nadendla Manohar asked officials from variou departments to work in proper corporation.

Chief Secretary Vijayanand announced the schedule of PM Modi’s visit to Amaravati on May 2. Modi would arrive at Gannavaram airport at 3pm and fly down at the helipad in the Secretariat premises. From there, he would undertake a road show to reach the main venue behind the Secretariat.

Modi’s programme nodal officer Veera Pandian gave a presentation, by saying that the PM would arrive at the main venue at 3.35pm and the programme would start at 3.45pm.

After taking part in the resumption of Amaravati development works, the PM would reach the helipad at 5pm and fly to Gannavaram airport and from there proceed further by air.
