CM Naidu to Inaugurate All-India DWACRA Bazaar in Guntur

Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar would inaugurate the exhibition on Thursday.

Vijayawada:The Saras Mela-2026 in Guntur, an All India DWACRA Bazaar featuring products from rural women's self-help groups nationwide, would run until January 18.

SME minister Kondapalli Srinivas inspected the 12-acre venue opposite Reddy College on Nallapadu Road, where 300 stalls have been set up, including 65 from other states. Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar would inaugurate the exhibition on Thursday.

The minister highlighted the success of similar fairs in Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam, which generated turnovers of Rs 12 crore and Rs 20 crore, respectively. The CM said six such exhibitions should be held annually to strengthen women's economic empowerment.

The bazaar showcases diverse products from Kashmir to Kerala, including Kondapalli toys, Kalamkari fabrics, Kashmiri textiles, handicrafts, handloom items and traditional foods. Daily cultural programmes and state-specific food stalls would enhance visitor experience.
