CM Naidu Seeks Better Citizen Services Based on Public Feedback
The Chief Minister called for extensive publicity on steps being taken by the government to curb crimes against women and the use of ganja.
Vijayawada:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to improve citizen services provided by various government departments, based on regular feedback from the people.
Naidu reviewed the Real Time Governance initiative with senior officials at his camp office on Monday. He said the government received a good response from people during the inauguration of the Veligonda project and the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram, where people participated in large numbers in the programmes. He called for a similar approach on other issues.
The Chief Minister called for extensive publicity on steps being taken by the government to curb crimes against women and the use of ganja. He also stressed the need for proper sanitation in both urban and rural areas.
Referring to his participation in the ‘Swarna Andhra-Swachh Andhra’ programme some 20 times so far, Naidu said there could be no compromise on sanitation. He also stressed the need to improve sanitation in welfare hostels and directed officials to invite parents of students to the hostels on the first Sunday of every month to explain the arrangements for food, water and other facilities.
He called for encouraging donors to support poor people through Anna Canteens.
Naidu directed officials to conduct regular reviews at Assembly constituency and district levels to identify and rectify lapses in providing services. He instructed officials to rank officers at the state and district levels based on their performance in providing services to citizens.
The CM called for all government departments to provide services online and directed officials to take quick decisions on urgent issues through an integrated service system. He also stressed issuing certificates by the revenue and other departments through online facilities.
Naidu directed the officials to study crop cultivation through the AWARE app and provide suggestions to farmers. He also called for extending support for natural farming, optimising water resources to protect horticultural crops and bringing unused land into productive use.
He stressed the need for proper utilisation of 5.70 lakh acres of land and directed officials to resolve applications received through the Public Grievance Redressal System.
