CM Naidu Calls For Massive Participation In Atal Sandesh – Modi Suparipalana Yatra

The Chief Minister emphasised that the programme aimed at rekindling former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s ideals among the youth and highlight Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance initiatives.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon all alliance ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs to actively participate in the Atal Sandesh — Modi Suparipalana Yatra scheduled from December 11 to 25.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the programme aimed at rekindling former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s ideals among the youth and highlight Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance initiatives.

Addressing a teleconference with representatives from the TD, JS and BJP, Naidu congratulated the BJP’s organisational team for conceptualising the yatra as a meaningful tribute to Vajpayee on the occasion of his birth centenary. Recalling the late leader’s towering legacy, Naidu said Vajpayee was the Bhishma Pitamaha of Indian politics, a statesman who earned admiration across party lines.

He noted that Vajpayee laid the foundation for good governance in the country through visionary policies that strengthened India’s development trajectory. “Born into a modest family, Vajpayee rose through sheer hard work to lead the nation. His nine terms in the Lok Sabha and two terms in the Rajya Sabha speak volumes about his greatness.”

The Chief Minister highlighted Vajpayee’s participation in the Quit India Movement at the age of 18, his leadership of the Pokhran-II nuclear tests of 1998, his decisive response in the Kargil War and the launch of the transformative Golden Quadrilateral highway project as milestones that shaped modern India.

Sharing his personal association with Vajpayee, Naidu recalled the late leader’s unwavering support for Andhra Pradesh. “He never refused anything that we requested for the state’s development. His decisions were people-centric and timely.”

Naidu also praised Vajpayee’s pioneering reforms in the telecom and aviation sectors and said both Vajpayee and N.T. Rama Rao symbolised the essence of good governance. Referring to the NDA’s achievements, he said initiatives such as the Golden Quadrilateral then and the Sagarmala project now reflected the NDA’s commitment to national progress.

The CM said Modi was steering India to the level of the world’s No. 1 nation by 2047. “Modi is an inspiration to the youth, and India is poised to emerge at the top in the coming decades,” he asserted.

Urging NDA leaders to ensure the success of Vajpayee’s centenary programmes, Naidu stressed the need for coordinated efforts to make the Atal Sandesh — Modi Suparipalana Yatra a grand and meaningful event.
