The Mustabu initiative focuses on promoting personal hygiene, discipline and healthy habits among students.

Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu launched the Mustabu programme at the social welfare residential school in Tallapalem of Anakapalli district, announcing that the initiative will be extended state-wide.
The Mustabu initiative focuses on promoting personal hygiene, discipline and healthy habits among students. “Even small ideas can lead to meaningful development, if implemented with clarity and purpose,” the CM underlined.
Naidu interacted with the students on personal hygiene. He told them that maintaining basic hygiene, wearing neat uniforms and following basic hygiene practices in schools will make the students confident. He congratulated Parvathipuram Manyam district collector N. Prabhakar Reddy for conceiving the Mustabu initiative, which is yielding positive results.
Addressing students, the Chief Minister said, "Simple habits, such as washing hands before meals and maintaining personal cleanliness contribute significantly to good health.” He asked students to emulate these habits, pointing out that this will have a significant impact, as there are around 7.5 million students studying up to the intermediate level in government and private schools across Andhra Pradesh.
“Innovative initiatives like Mustabu help instil discipline and leadership qualities in students without imposing additional financial burdens on the government,” he pointed out.
Naidu said not only parents, the state government also has high expectations from students. This is why the government is providing support to students in various forms, like Talliki Vandanam and free textbooks, uniforms and meals.
On the occasion, the CM announced that the government is planning to screen the health of students state-wide and ensure access to nutritious food to support their overall well-being. He appreciated education minister Nara Lokesh for introducing reforms in the education sector.
Public representatives and officials of Anakapalli district attended the Tallapalem programme.
