CM Distributes Rs 197.89 Crore to SHG Women, Receives Public Petitions
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister
KURNOOL: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday reiterated the state government’s commitment to women's empowerment, saying their progress is key to the state's overall development.
After launching the Sanjeevani programme at Aspari in Kurnool district, the Chief Minister interacted with members of self-help groups (SHGs).
“If women prosper, the government prospers. Our administration is committed to supporting women in every possible way,” he said.
Naidu handed over a cheque for `197.89 crore to SHG women and urged them to utilise the financial assistance effectively to achieve economic independence through thrift groups.
Following the distribution, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.
After the programme, Naidu received petitions from members of the public who sought solutions to various grievances.
In one instance, a woman accompanied by her children submitted a representation explaining her difficulties. The Chief Minister directed the district collector to take immediate action to resolve the issue.
Naidu said the government was committed to addressing every genuine grievance and assured people that their concerns would receive priority.
“This government is working to resolve the problems of each and every citizen,” he said.
