CM Determined to Usher In New Era of Healthcare: Minister Satya
He stressed that medical professionals should reflect on whether their functioning contributes to the Chief Minister’s vision

Vijayawada: Minister for medical and health Y. Satya Kumar Yadav called upon medical and health department employees to align their attitude, approach, and work ethic with the vision and pace of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is striving to usher in a new era in the healthcare sector.
Addressing a review meeting with senior officials at the AP Secretariat on Tuesday, the Minister said the Chief Minister is relentlessly working to modernise public health through creativity, technological innovation, and scientific application. He urged doctors and staff to dedicate themselves to this mission.
He stressed that medical professionals should reflect on whether their functioning contributes to the Chief Minister’s vision. “Instead of going about work mechanically, staff must think innovatively and strive to realise the goal of a ‘Healthy Andhra Pradesh,’” he said.
The Minister expressed concern over delays in addressing issues raised by people’s representatives and the public. “Failure to act promptly amounts to undermining democracy,” he warned, urging officials to respond swiftly and responsibly.
Reviewing the general transfers conducted in June, the Minister expressed satisfaction with the process.
Of the 7,200 doctors and administrative staff transferred, 99% reported to their new postings within the stipulated time. “For the first time, transfers were carried out on such a large scale without controversy. The fact that 99% complied with the orders proves the process was fair and transparent,” he said.
He directed officials to systematically fill sanctioned vacancies across departments, including AYUSH, Drug Control, and Food Safety, to ensure effective functioning. He also suggested introducing WhatsApp governance in hospitals to deliver reports quickly to patients and encouraged innovative practices across the sector.
Special Chief Secretary (Health) M.T. Krishna Babu, heads of 10 departments, and senior officials attended the meeting.
