Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said officers and organisations at all levels should be in a state of full preparedness in the present national context.
The CM reviewed the civil defence activities after Operation Sindoor. The meeting was attended by chief secretary K Vijayanand and DGP Harish Gupta as well as officials from tourism, endowment, disaster management, health, R&B and several other departments. District collectors, SPs, railways, Army, Navy, Air Force and CISF officials participated in the review via video conference.
They discussed the security measures and preparedness across the state in the wake of Operation Sindoor and the holding of mock drills, and the need for creating awareness among the people about the current situation.
Naidu said, “The Centre has also made several suggestions on the preparedness of the state governments. These should be implemented completely. All departments should work in close coordination. We must ensure that the people do not get worried. Awareness programmes should be taken up and it is important to ensure that false information is not spread.”
The CM stated, “If anyone spreads false information... strict action should be taken against him. There is a need to be more vigilant in the coastal areas. Special protective measures and precautions should be taken in places like TTD. Officials in all departments should be alert all 24 hours a day.”
