Nellore: Adharam village in KVB Puram mandal of Satyavedu constituency received a major boost on Monday with the inauguration of a new RO water plant, addressing a long-pending drinking water issue. The plant was constructed at a cost of Rs 11.64 lakh through MP funds allocated by Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy.
The inauguration ceremony saw YSRC constituency coordinator Nukathoti Rajesh and MP Gurumoorthy in attendance. The village woman sarpanch cut the ribbon, while MP Gurumoorthy formally launched the plant by switching it on.
Addressing the gathering, Gurumoorthy thanked the people of Satyavedu for electing him with a strong mandate. He emphasised that the RO plant project is part of the promises made during the campaign, now being honoured. He also assured that he would press the state government to expedite repairs of the Kaalangi reservoir gates, another pressing issue for the region.
The MP urged citizens to bring local problems to his attention either directly or through local leaders. He also reassured YSRC workers that legal support will be provided through the party’s legal cell in case of any false or politically motivated cases.
Calling for unity among party cadres, he warned officials to maintain transparency in their work, cautioning that lack of accountability would not be tolerated in the future.
The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MP for fulfilling this long-standing need.
The inauguration was attended by local leaders, villagers, and YSRC workers, who hailed the project as a major step toward better public health and infrastructure in the region.
