CISF DG Reviews Security at Key Vizag Installations

At the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, the DG held discussions with RINL CMD M.N.V.S. Prabhakar, senior management officials and CISF personnel on security and protection of the vital installation.

Visakhapatnam: Director general of the Central Industrial Security Force Praveer Ranjan reviewed security and operational preparedness at key strategic installations in Visakhapatnam during his two-day visit on August 15 and 16.

At the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, the DG held discussions with RINL CMD M.N.V.S. Prabhakar, senior management officials and CISF personnel on security and protection of the vital installation.

He reviewed security arrangements, training and operational preparedness at Visakhapatnam Port and also discussed port security and coordination between the CISF and Visakhapatnam Port Authority with VPA chairman Jasmeet Singh Bindra.

Addressing a combined Sainik Sammelan of CISF units in Visakhapatnam, the DG stressed futuristic security strategies, technological upgradation, operational readiness, discipline and the physical and mental well-being of personnel.

He particularly highlighted the growing role of women in the CISF and appreciated the achievements of the first batch of CISF women commandos trained at the 10th Reserve Battalion.
