CII Women AP Chapter Holds Conclave, Seeks Equitable Future

Chandini Chandana, chairwoman, IWN Andhra Pradesh and COO & Co-Founder, AVERA, welcoming the participants, said the conclave is looking to cultivate a new paradigm of leadership, one that harmonises performance with empathy, structure with flexibility, and authority with influence.

VIJAYAWADA: Dr. Rayapati Sailaja, chairperson, AP State Women’s Commission, explained that an equitable future is one where every individual, regardless of gender, has access to opportunities, resources and leadership roles.

She had been speaking at the Annual Leadership Conclave of the CII Indian Women Network (IWN) organised in Vijayawada on Wednesday. Themed Shaping an Equitable Future – Leadership with Balance, representatives from government, industry, academia and civil society participated in the conclave and deliberated on strategies for promoting inclusive leadership, gender equity and resilient workplaces, in alignment with India’s vision for its centenary in 2047.

A fireside chat on Leadership Through Different Lenses featured Koneru Humpy, Chess Grandmaster, who said, “Leadership for me is about inspiring others, especially young girls, to believe in their potential. Off the board, it’s guiding my family and mentees with the same strategic foresight I use in chess—analysing risks, adapting to challenges and fostering growth.”

Those who participated in the conclave include Gowri Kailasam, chairperson, IWN Southern Region, K.G.V. Saritha, Deputy Commissioner of Police, NTR Police Commissionerate, Sivapriya Balagopal, Deputy Chairperson, IWN Southern Region, and Murali Krishna Gannamani, Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh.
