Kadapa:CID officials conducted searches at the Proddatur tahsildar office on Monday as part of an investigation into the registration of land allegedly belonging to AgriGold.
The officials examined records and collected details related to land registrations. The searches were reportedly conducted in connection with the registration of 1.7 acres of AgriGold land in Peddasettipalli village in the name of Guddati Jayaram Reddy.
The CID officials scrutinised the registration process, related documents and revenue records pertaining to the land. The investigation was reportedly initiated following a complaint lodged by Proddatur MLA Varadarajula Reddy.
Officials are examining the records and documents collected during the searches and are likely to take further action based on their findings. The CID is also reportedly looking into the possible involvement of other individuals in the alleged land registration.
