China Amiram Village Gets Farmers' Information Centre, Digital Library

The joint collector said about 10 cents of land is required for the construction of the information centre and the digital library.

Kakinada: State government has sanctioned a Farmers' Information Centre and Digital Library for China Amiram village in West Godavari district. Following this, district joint collector R. Rahul Kumar Reddy inspected the village on Friday for identifying the necessary land for the purpose.

Rahul Kumar said that the Farmers’ Information Centre is being established with the objective of disseminating technical knowledge and agricultural information to farmers. The Digital Library will serve as an online resource for students, youth and people of the village.

The joint collector said about 10 cents of land is required for the construction of the information centre and the digital library. Funds for the construction of these buildings will be secured through the P4 model. Once completed these facilities would yield long term benefits for farmers, students and residents of the village. Officials who accompanied Ravi Kumar included District Agriculture Officer Z. Venkateswara Rao and Bhimavaram Tahsildar Ravi Rambabu.
