Chief Of Defence Staff Raja Subramani Is An AU scholar

VISAKHAPATNAM: It turned out to be a moment of pride for Andhra University authorities, teachers and scholars when they learnt on Saturday that Lieutenant General Raja Subramani, India’s next Chief of Defence Staff, is pursuing part-time Ph.D. research in the Department of Commerce and Business Management under the guidance of Prof. Jaladi Ravi.
According to professors associated with the university, Raja Subramani and N.R. Pandey had approached Andhra University in 2023 and submitted applications for part-time Ph.D. research under the Trans Disciplinary Research Hub in the disciplines of Commerce and Business Management.
They said both scholars interacted with the university in a humble and simple manner, dressed in normal civil attire and conducting themselves with modesty and dignity.
The applications and liaison coordination were facilitated by Vaishno Shankar, Civil Defence Liaison Officer, who introduced the scholars to the university in a courteous and professional manner.
“It is only today that the university has come to know that Raja Subramani has now been elevated as the Chief of Defence Staff of India, while N.R. Pandey is serving as Military Adviser to the CDS,” Prof. Jaladi Ravi said.
Andhra University conveyed its congratulations and best wishes to Raja Subramani and also appreciated N.R. Pandey for his service to the nation.
