Centre to Add 6 Lakh More Houses to AP Housing Programme, Says Chouhan
He also promised three lakh more houses to the state. “With the fresh commitments, the total allocation would go up to nine lakh houses,” Chouhan said while addressing a gathering at Burripalem in Tenali constituency.

Vijayawada: Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday assured Andhra Pradesh that the Centre would sanction another three lakh houses even before completion of the ongoing construction of three lakh houses.
He also promised three lakh more houses to the state.
“With the fresh commitments, the total allocation would go up to nine lakh houses,” Chouhan said while addressing a gathering at Burripalem in Tenali constituency.
Praising chief minister Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, the Union Minister said Andhra Pradesh was emerging as one of the leading states.
The Centre, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would extend full support to the state's development, he said.
Chouhan said Andhra Pradesh was moving towards a “Shining Andhra, Advanced Andhra and Achieving Andhra”.
He said Modi and Naidu were jointly steering the state towards a 360-degree development.
Highlighting the Centre's support to farmers, Chouhan said every eligible farmer was receiving `6,000 annually under the PM-KISAN scheme.
The state government was providing another `14,000 under Annadata Sukhibhava, taking the total annual assistance to farmers to `20,000.
The Centre and the state governments, he said, are working together to strengthen Andhra Pradesh's development and improve the welfare of its people.
Taking a political swipe at the Congress, Chouhan alleged that the state had been bifurcated without providing AP with a capital.
The NDA governments at the Centre and in the state were now working together to put Andhra Pradesh firmly on the path of progress and prosperity, he said.
Chouhan affirmed that the Centre would continue to support Andhra Pradesh's housing requirements and development priorities.
