CBSE: AP Scores 92.77 Per Cent Pass Percentage In Class XII Exams
Girls outperform boys by scoring 94.81 per cent against 90.87 per cent

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh’s Vijayawada region has scored a pass percentage of 92.77 as the Central Board of Secondary Education has released the Class XII results on Wednesday.
A total of 18.57 lakh students in various categories including regular, private, compartment and improvement, registered for the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII)-2026. Of them, 18.38 lakh appeared for the exams. With regard to the regular stream’s gender-wise distribution, among boys, 12,874 registered. Of them, 12,822 appeared and 11,651 passed by registering a pass percentage of 90.87.
Among girls, 12,011 registered; and of them 11,954 appeared and 11,334 passed by registering pass percentage of 94.81. This indicates girls outperformed boys by registering a better pass percentage.
The number of schools where CBSE syllabus is offered are 369. The students appeared for the Class XII exams at 243 exam centres.
As for the pass percentage of students from general/SC, ST/OBC categories in the full subjects: in general category 10,949 students registered, 10,919 appeared and 10,305 passed by registering a 94.38 per cent win.
In the SC category, 2,183 students registered, 2,170 appeared and 1,974 passed by registering a win of 90.97 per cent. In ST category, 3,611 registered, 3,565 appeared and 3,220 passed by registering a win of 90.32 per cent.
In OBC category, 8,142 registered, 8,122 appeared and 7,488 passed; meaning a pass percentage of 92.17.
The CBSE at Class XII level offered 120 subjects and successfully implemented ‘On Screen Marking’ (OSM) for the evaluation of answer books in 2026 by the Board of Examinations with the main objective to ensure secrecy, error-free evaluation, complete assessment, reduced human intervention, eco-friendly digital process and transparency and accountability.
The board has not released any merit list to avoid unhealthy competition among the students; and no award of the first, second and third divisions is done.
The supplementary examinations will be held from July 15 for the students who have passed Class XII in 2026 and wish to improve their performance in one subject only.
Students who have appeared for the Class XII exams in 2026 and 2025 were placed in compartment category.
