Case against TV channel for airing pirated Game Changer movie

Visakhapatnam:A pirated high-definition version of the Tollywood film Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, was recently broadcast on the local cable channel AP Local TV in Andhra Pradesh, sparking widespread outrage.

The unauthorised airing, which took place a few days ago, has drawn criticism from viewers and industry professionals alike. HV Chalapathi Raju, Managing Director of Copyright Safety Systems, led an investigative team. In collaboration with the Gajuwaka Police of Vizag city and the cybercrime police, a raid was conducted on the channel's premises. Equipment used for the illegal broadcast was seized, and Appala Raju, a representative of AP Local TV, was apprehended.

The police have registered a case, and further investigations are underway. The Game Changer movie, directed by Shankar, features Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, and Anjali in lead roles.
