Anantapur:Blue Blasters lifted the Anantapur Celebrity Cricket League 2026 title after defeating Green Gladiators by six wickets in a high-energy final at the Anantapur Cricket Ground (RDT Stadium) on Friday.
After winning the toss, Blue Blasters opted to field and restricted Green Gladiators to 123 for 5 in 15 overs. Balaji Thakur top-scored with an unbeaten 51 off 36 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. Shravan Kumar was the most effective bowler for Blue Blasters, finishing with figures of 2 for 39.
Chasing a modest target of 124, Blue Blasters reached 127 for 4 in 14.5 overs. Yashwant anchored the chase with a composed 41 off 39 balls, while skipper Nanda Kishore provided crucial support. Earlier, Venkat (2/13) and Rohit Saini (2/25) struck at key moments. Yashwant was adjudged Player of the Match in the final.
In the opening league match, Green Gladiators beat Yellow Yorkers by eight wickets. Yellow Yorkers posted 106 for 7 in 15 overs, with Manish Reddy scoring 27 and Karam contributing 26. Charan returned figures of 2 for 15. Green Gladiators chased the target in just 8.4 overs, powered by Abhishek Yannam’s blistering 64 not out off 27 balls. Abhishek was named Player of the Match, with the award presented by Kowra Infra MD Karthik.
