BJP To Launch Outreach Drive On NDA Welfare, Development Initiatives

Highlighting various initiatives of the NDA government, Madhav said significant progress had been achieved in areas such as economic development and the fight against Left-wing extremism.

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh BJP president P.V.N. Madhav on Thursday said the party has prepared an action plan to reach out to people and explain the welfare schemes and development initiatives undertaken by the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the past 12 years, both in Andhra Pradesh and across the country.

Addressing a press conference in Vijayawada, Madhav credited Modi with providing effective governance and earning the trust and confidence of the people. He also said the Prime Minister had completed his tenure without facing any allegations of corruption.

Highlighting various initiatives of the NDA government, Madhav said significant progress had been achieved in areas such as economic development and the fight against Left-wing extremism.

He said Andhra Pradesh had received substantial support from the Centre for development projects. According to him, the state received assistance worth `14 lakh crore from the Central government.

The BJP leader said a green corridor project estimated at `2 lakh crore was proposed for Visakhapatnam and noted that efforts were underway to develop Andhra Pradesh’s 1,000-km coastline.

Madhav also said the Centre had sanctioned significant funding for the development of Amaravati, the state capital, as part of its support for Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure and growth initiatives.
